Zubda is an AI calorie and macro tracker. This page explains honestly what we collect and why. In case of any conflict, the Arabic text prevails.

What we do not collect

No account, name, email, or phone number is required. There are no ads, and we never sell your data.

Device identifier

On first launch the app generates a random device identifier. It is used only for daily limits and subscription status and is not linked to your identity.

Meal photos

When you scan a meal, the photo is sent to our server and analyzed to estimate calories, using an AI service operated by a technology company. Photos and results may be kept in secured cloud storage to improve accuracy. Please avoid including faces or sensitive information.

Products you add

If you scan a product we do not have and choose to add it, photos of its nutrition table and its front are sent to our server and read by the same AI service to extract the product's name and nutrition. We keep both photos in secured cloud storage for review, and never show your photo to anyone else: people who scan the product after you see a simple drawing of it made from the photo. Photograph the product alone, without faces or personal information.

Recipe imports

When you share a recipe link, we read the publicly available text at that link. We never access your accounts on any platform.

Subscriptions

Payments are processed by the App Store or Google Play. We never see or store card details; we only receive your subscription status.

Notifications

Zubda sends only two kinds of notification: reminders you switch on yourself in Settings (meals, water, training), scheduled on your device, and messages written by the Zubda team, such as a reply to something you sent us. If you allow notifications we keep your device's notification token for delivering those messages only, and a message still appears in the app if you do not. You control the permission in your device settings.

Health data

We currently read nothing from Apple Health or Health Connect.

Processors

A technology company that runs our servers and analyzes photos, another that manages subscriptions, and a service that delivers notifications to your device. No other party receives your data.
